Chapter 110
“Mom, what are you saying?” Alpha Nick was getting upset, and Sheridan’s eyes were already closed. She must have fallen asleep already.
Even with her in his arms, it felt as though he was just carrying paper. He did not know if it was due to his level of strength or if she was just lightweight.
Athena could speak to Nick alone, but with so many guests at the packhouse, she could not reveal a deep family
Secret.
“There are no intruders here. I have to see my granddaughter. You stay here and let me go with them. I will find my way back,” she said seriously.
Arnold thought for a while and rather suggested, “Let’s go. I will bring you back to ensure that Sheridan is okay.”
For as long as it concerned his kid sister, he was willing to do anything for her, and also, Daisy was Athena’s granddaughter, so she had every right to see the cute little creature.
Athena stared at her son, but he did not refuse, so she followed Arnold to his car. The six other brothers left as well, unable to say goodbye to Sheridan since she was asleep.
Alpha Nick did not leave Sheridan after carrying her upstairs but laid beside her, watching her sleeping form. He could not help but smile at the rise and fall movement of her chest.
In Dustin’s room, he had been up for a while, but Goldie was still sleeping. Though not wanting to disturb her, he also could not resist her.
Planting a kiss on her exposed shoulder, Goldie opened her eyes slowly and turned to face him. “Good morning,” she said shyly, rubbing her neck due to the mark earlier.
“Sorry for waking you, but I couldn’t wait” Dustin kissed the mark on her neck, and instead of the pain she felt from it before, it was rather a pleasurable sensation.
A smile stretched Goldie’s lips. “I’m sorry. I was just too tired because of how long we stayed awake. What is the time?”
Dustin had no idea why she was asking for the time but pulled slightly away and replied,
“It’s already noon.”
It was as if Goldie just remembered something and tried to lift herself from the bed.
“Sherry. I have to check on her.” Dustin quickly pinned her back to the bed with a look of desire and slight anger.
“Can you take proper care of Sheridan than Alpha Nick?” he asked solemnly, his gaze roaming on her exposed skin.
It was good that they slept naked last night because of Goldie’s fatigue from the mark.
A lot of things happen during a marking, so Dustin had to give her time, but right now, he had reached his limit.
Goldie knew that Dustin was right. Alpha Nick happened to be Sheridan’s mate so he would indeed take great care of her.
Dustin’s mark on her made it difficult for him to resist her when his wolf was equally as desirous of her. Goldie could not pretend to not know what he wanted and spoke directly.
“I get it. Let’s finish what we started last night.”
Chapter 110
Dustin similed and instantly covered her nipple with his warm mouth. Goldie moaned from pleasure, her body turned feverish as his fingers caressed her other breast.
The strange sensation sparked a pleasurable fire inside her, and she began to feel hot and needy for him.
Dustin was slightly nervous about exploring certain parts of her body and said politely, “I love you, Goldie. I don’t mean to disrespect you, but I need access to every part of you.”
Goldie choked on laughter as she had never heard of a man as careful as her mate. “Stop being polite. I love you too. and I am yours.”
her unwavering.
Dustin smiled with relief and kissed her on the lips, his knees parting her thighs slowly, his gaze on her
Goldie whimpered when his finger brushed her entrance, the sensations she felt from before began to triple as they dug deeper.
Her waist moved to the rhythm of his fingers inside her wet walls as she moved in circular motions.
Dustin groaned from the feel of her tightness. “It’s so warm and tight.”
His lips soon found their way there as he began to lick her clits. Goldie held the sheets tightly, her release spiraling out of control with a loud moan.
Sex was pleasurable, and she was beginning to think of doing it more often with her mate.
At the same time, Dustin saw her shiver from her release, he thrust his hard cock inside her all at once, a yelp escaped. her, and she began to hit him on the chest.
“Stop, it’s painful.” She tried to pull away, unable to bear the pain, but the man on top of her did not seem like he was going to stop.
Dustin, filled with so much desire, forced his length inside her at once with a groan before covering her lips with his once again.
Caressing her body, his cock continued to enlarge inside of her, making her full.
His voice turned heavy from a blend of pleasure and desire. “I’m sorry. There is nothing we can do about the pain during the first time.”
Goldie was sweaty from the pain before but pressed her fingers into his back, pressing him closer. “It doesn’t hurt
anymore.”
Dustin lost control, thrusting deeply and hitting her G–spot as she kept urging him on. It was both their first time, and their release somehow came together. Both panting, Dustin slipped to the side and pulled her into his arms.
“Now, I feel complete.”
Goldie smiled. “I feel so honored to have you as my second chance mate. I thought the moon goddess would give up
on me.”
Recalling the asshole of a mate she had before, she had to thank Sheridan for stopping her from rejecting Dustin.
He wasn’t bad after all, and just like Alpha Nick, he was just someone who respected the mate bond a lot.
“You have no idea how much joy you have brought into my life. I guess you are ready to learn about your new pack?” he asked. Goldie nodded her head and spoke, right before she drifted to sleep once more.
“I think I’m gonna love this pack like mine.”
Chapter lin
In an unknown location, a man and a woman lay unconscious on a bed. A man stared down at them and puffed his cigarette.
“You have rested enough, Charlotte, What is the plan? My army is at your service.”

This story would be updated daily from now onwards.
Chapter 111
Charlotte woke up groggily, the smoke from the cigarette feeling like a fog in the room. She felt light and staggered slightly when she got off the bed. “Where am I?”
“At the magic pack,” a familiar voice rang in her ears, and she focused her attention on the familiar man at the door.
The familiar blonde hair and blue eyes struck a chord in her. She had met him just once but had enough memory him. Charlotte never thought that this man would keep his promise, but he did.
“Goliath, how did 1 get here?” She asked, stabilizing herself by holding onto a chair. She had no idea what she looked like at the moment, recalling what happened to her at the Dark Moon pack and how she was almost stoned to death.
Goliath dropped the half–burnt cigarette in an ashtray and ambled towards her, his voice filled with warmth. “One good tum deserves another, right?”
Charlotte knew that he helped her to pass the message to Sheila, but who knew it would lead to Sheila’s return to the pack?
Her wolf turned evil, but it also helped her to escape her untimely death. “I thought Charcoal helped me to escape.”
Goliath agreed. “Yes, but he only got you out of the Dark Moon Pack. I picked both of you up a mile away.”
Charlotte found hope, but her gaze darkened at the thought of Sheridan. She must have Alpha Nick now, but Charlotte was certain that all the intimacy between them was only to make her jealous because Alpha Nick caught her
and Tom in the act.
Alpha Nick never liked anyone in his space, so she was certain that the relationship between him and Sheridan would have returned to how it used to be, with Sheridan sleeping in a different room.
“So, you want to return a favor?” She asked Goliath, and the latter nodded his head.
was
calm and yet solemn.
“It was my fault that your wolf turned evil, so I am at your command.” His tone
Charlotte smiled evilly. Having sex with Goliath when he was under the influence of an aphrodisiac did not turn her wolf evil, but rather it was due to all her evil deeds against Sheridan. Since Goliath was taking responsibility for it, she would just let it remain so.
“So, where am I?” She asked with renewed hope, already thinking about how to get her revenge against Sheridan. The only way to end the feud between them was if one person died. Charlotte did not think she was the one deserving death at this moment.
“At the magic pack. The Alpha is under my spell and would do anything I want,” Goliath assured her.
Charlotte had known after she slept with Goliath that night that he had some special powers. She just did not think it would be so strong to take control of an Alpha, especially of the magic pack.
“How strong is their army?” She asked, already planning an attack against the Dark Moon pack.
“Strong and great in number. You know they have magic too, right?” Goliath asked in an amused tone. Charlotte smiled knowingly.
“That is why it’s called the magic pack. I thought their existence was just a myth.”
In times past, the people from the magic pack used their magic to take things that were not theirs. Their uncouth behavior called for the packs seeking the moon goddess to address the issue, leading to the banishment of the magic pack.
Chapter 111
The location was hidden without them interfering with other packs. For centuries, they never interfered with any of the packs, making them non–existent and to some, even a myth.
Who knew that Charlotte would be the one to awaken the magic pack into operation once again!
“That is what everybody thinks because they can’t be traced and are protected by magic,” Goliath explained further, seeing as the information made Charlotte happy.
“I have to attack the Dark Moon Pack, but I want to know first if Alpha Nick marked the bitch. His forcing me to accept his rejection does not change a thing.
Charlotte’s expression was dark as she spoke. Through the attack, she could get rid of Sheridan once and for all. With magic, she could make Alpha Nick fall in love with her.
The moment he marks and mates with her, there would be no turning back for him, and she would forever take control of the Dark Moon Pack.
“Do you still want him?” Goliath asked with interest, and Charlotte did not respond directly. She rather asked.
“Is there magic that can make him love and mate with me?”
“There is, but only if he hasn’t marked and mated with Sheridan. You should have asked for it before sending me to pass the message to her in New York,” Goliath expressed thoughtfully.
“I did not know that she had any ties with Alpha Nick by then. They had divorced,” she said with regret. If she had just a slight hint that Alpha Nick was going after Sheridan, she would have instructed Goliath to finish her off.
“So, what are you doing with him?” Goliath stared at the man on the bed. Charlotte followed his gaze the realization that she had saved Tom’s life.
and was hit with
“Tom” I don’t know. It would depend on whose side he’s on.”
“Tom?” She went over and shook him on the bed. Tom opened his eyes with shock on his facial features. “Charlotte. How did we escape? How am I alive?” He was looking at himself as if he was just dug out from the earth. Charlotte’s expression was stern since things were no longer the same between her and Tom. “My wolf saved you, but my friend here kept us alive.
Tom was only happy to be alive since he had lost hope. “Great. Let’s leave for California. I have some relatives there. We can start over. Also, since we both rejected our mates, we can mark each other.”
Tom thought that she still loved him because she saved his life, but her response wiped his hopes.
“If that is what you want, you are free to go, but I still want Nick, and Goliath has a charm for it. If you want Goldie too, he can work on something for you.”
This was not what Tom wanted to hear. He thought that after everything, Charlotte would learn her lesson, but it did
not seem so.
Charlotte, if this i
sman saved our lives, then let’s thank him and find a way to repay him. Just don’t waste the opportunity to be better than before.”
Charlotte was getting upset by his sudden navigation towards righteousness. “Stop lecturing me. If you don’t want to do it, you are free to leave. You have five minutes to decide. After that, then you have to do everything I say.”
Tom could not trust Charlotte anymore. Even if she saved his life, it was either she decided to go with him or they go their separate ways.
Chapter
“I prefer my freedom. Just tell your friend to help me with some money, and I will leave. If your plans fail, you would have a place in California to stay.”
Charlotte did not see any error in her plans when she would be operating on charms this time.
“My plans would not fail, but you would be the loser in the end. Just wait until I become the Luna with all the pack’s resources in my hands. You would miss the opportunity of gaining a lot of wealth.”
Knowing that wealth was what Tom wanted, she pitched it from that angle, but to her shock, Tom refused the offer, having learned his lesson the hard way.
“Thank you for saving my life, but I would rather leave. My pack already banished me, so I don’t have a place here. Please. Just lend me some money. I promise to return it.”
Charlotte wanted him to stay, but since she was now going to operate with special powers, she could not force him.
He had to stay by his own accord, and for that, she could only make things difficult for him.
“If you want to leave, then go, but I would not permit him to give you any money. Will you stay or leave?”
Tom bit his lower lip as he weighed the options put before him. To stay and become Charlotte’s ploy? He would rather take a chance at freedom and die in it.
“I want to leave. So where am I?” He asked seriously, and Goliath replied to him this time, instead of Charlotte.
“The magic pack. Just close your eyes, and you would be outside the pack. You won’t know how you came or how you
out, so there would be no return. Are you sure about this?”
Chapter 112
Tom thought through the matter. Charlotte was not willing to let her friend or whatever loan him the money, but one thing was sure.
He would not stay at any pack and become a slave like what happened in the Dark Moon Pack. Though well–fed, his movement was restricted. Losing everything, he would rather start from scratch.
“I want to leave, Tom said with his eyes closed. Goliath clapped his hand, and he disappeared, finding himself at a strange place.
Charlotte was disappointed, though, but had a feeling that Tom would soon try to find her to apologize if he was unable to make it on his own. Goliath asked her. “So what do you want to do now?”
“I want to meet the pack members. Charlotte said with determination. Who knows, she might just own this pack as well. Unfortunately for her, Goliath was not so stupid.
Knowing how ambitious Charlotte was, he could not give her too much. His only debt was the fact that she saved his life, and that would be paid by helping her to war against the Dark Moon Pack.
“No. They would not come out. Don’t forget they were banished,” he created an excuse, but it was also true.
Charlotte was not happy about this. Going into war with a pack she did not know was not only strange but also suspicious.
“So how do I communicate with them?”
“You have to do it through me.” Goliath said seriously. Charlotte could not insist. If she did so, her intentions might just be out in the open.
“Alright. In two weeks, we attack the Dark Moon pack,” she forced a smile and said, but Goliath was skeptical.
“Why not tomorrow?”
“Because they would be well–prepared and might even still be searching for me. I want them to think I’m not coming back. It should have been longer, but I fear he might mark and mate with Sheridan if it took too long
“Alright. I will prepare the pack members, but I remember that I saw Sheridan with a baby when I went to pass the information in New York, Goliath revealed, Charlotte’s face drained of color.
“A he or she?” she asked seriously. For as long as she knew Sheridan, she never gave in to any of the men who made advances towards her.
“I don’t know. I only saw a baby in the child seat, but I did not see the face.” Goliath explained in detail.
“She did not return to the pack with a baby, and no one spoke about one. It might be someone else’s, Charlotte thought aloud. Goliath was relieved. If the child was Sheridan and Alpha Nick’s, then the charm he had for her might not work.
“Alright. I would get you something to eat before we strategize the attack”
At the Moonshine pack, the Alpha King was amazed by Athena’s presence. “To what do we owe this visit? Luna Athena?”
Athena smiled and replied. “I am not a Luna, as I never had the strength for it, but your daughter is the Luna of my pack, and I only came to see my granddaughter.”
Cupir 112
The Alpha King was slightly suspicious since he had not directly heard from Sheridan after she left. “Why did come with Sheridan?”
you not
“She’s tired. There is a lot going on at the pack, but I have a gift for my granddaughter,” Athena replied instantly.
The Alpha King could not refuse since Athena was Alpha Nick’s mother. There was no bad record about her, and she was also driven to their pack by his son, Arnold.
“Since Arnold brought you, it means that Sheridan already agreed.”
“That is so,” Athena replied.
“Daisy is with my queen in her chamber. I hope you aren’t taking her away?” The Alpha King asked. Daisy was his first grandchild, so naturally, everybody doted on the girl.
It would be saddening if she was taken away from them so soon. Athena assured him by saying,
“The only person who should move Daisy in or out of this pack should be either of her parents.”
A smile stretched the corner of the lips of the Alpha King. “Okay.”
Arnold led Athena to his mother’s chamber, and after hearing a soft “come in” after the knock, Athena was delighted to see Daisy sleeping peacefully in her cot.
It was obvious that she shared the same room as the Alpha King and queen, per the arrangement in the room.
Athena went to lift the cute creature from the cot and into her arms. “Oh goddess, she’s so pretty like a female version of my son.”
The queen vehemently agreed. “Yes. She took after Alpha Nick.”
Athena could not take her eyes off her sleeping granddaughter, saying to the queen, “Can I have some alone time with her?”
“Why is that?” The queen frowned, feeling suspicious. Athena was not afraid of what she wanted to say to Daisy, but the fact remained that it was a family secret.
Sheridan would know about it with time because she was Alpha Nick’s mate, but not her parents or brothers. The lesser people knew about it, the better for everybody.
“It is very necessary. I am Daisy’s grandmother too, and all I want is to spend some time with her.”
After a little thought, the queen said, “Alright. I will get her some food. She has been sleeping for quite long.”
“Was she breastfed?” Athena asked, just to confirm a few things. If Daisy was the chosen one, then there had to be some character traits.
“No. Sherry said that Daisy never liked to suck the breast.”
“She’s the chosen one,” Athena mistakenly said aloud, the queen’s brows furrowed.
“What did you say?” Athena soon realized her mistake and said,
“I would love coffee. Black. No sugar.” Alpha Nick never sucked his mother’s breast. He should have been the one to possess the powers, except that he was a boy.
Only a girl had the womb to carry it. The queen would have asked the maids to prepare the coffee, but since she personally made Daisy’s food because of what Sherry told her, she decided to make the coffee as well.
Chapter 112
“I will be right back.”
As soon as the door closed, Athena chanted a few words to the sleeping baby in her arms.
“From this day forward, you are protected against all spells and evil powers, and would become the most your time. This bracelet belongs to your mother and should never come off from your wrist.”
powerful of
Athena removed the bracelet on her wrist; it strangely shrunk in the size of Daisy’s wrist. As soon as she clipped the bracelet onto her left wrist, the baby began to bawl, but after some coaxing, she fell right back to sleep.
The queen had hastened things because of the sound of Daisy’s cries and soon returned. “Your coffee. Why is she asleep so soon? I heard her cry.” She did not mince her words.
Athena smiled. It was done anyway. “Thanks, but I don’t like coffee. I would leave now.”
The queen saw the emerald bracelet on Daisy’s tiny wrist. “What is that on her wrist? It looks like my bracelet.”
Athena smiled. The powers were transferred from the pendant to the bracelet, and since it originally belonged to the queen, it made it even better.
“Sheridan gave it to me, but now, I’m giving it to my grandchild. She must never take it off.”
She kissed Daisy on the forehead before placing her back in her cot. Athena left after discussing some casual things.
The queen knew that she was not an ordinary woman. A woman who would dare to ask for coffee when she did not like it sure has some tricks up her sleeves, but it was obvious that Athena was not a bad woman.
Alpha Nick laid beside the sleeping Sheridan when her eyes opened suddenly. “Athena. I have to talk to her.”
Chapter 113
Alpha Nick was shocked. Sheridan was sleeping as if she would never wake up but the force at which she jolted awake created the impression that something must have woken her.
Was it his mother’s charms? He might not be the one to possess it but knew a few things about it.
“Calm down. What is the problem?” He asked Sheridan, just to confirm as he wiped beads of sweat from her forehead.
Sheridan had no idea why but recalled vividly that Athena had something very important to tell her. “She said she had to see Daisy and also would tell me a few things.”
Alpha Nick confirmed that it was indeed his mother’s powers. Certainly, Sheridan would have to know about it even if she was not the chosen one.
It would create the avenue for her to use the knowledge to help Daisy in the future.
“Arnold already took her to see Daisy. How are you feeling?” Alpha Nick asked worriedly, Sheridan stared at him with mixed feelings and responded.
“Fine. Except,” she rubbed her hands around the area of the mark. The voices she was hearing in her ears must be because she was mated to an Alpha.
The responsibility of the pack was now shared between them as she could now feel the pressure Alpha Nick faced on a daily basis.
“Except what?” Alpha Nick asked her. All he wanted was for her to be happy. Everything else could wait. He could not also wait to put an end to Charlotte and Tom, so Daisy could be introduced to the pack.
Alpha Nick longed to make it up to that little girl, as well as her mother, the woman he loves and his mate.
Destiny played a dangerous game on him and he had to thank his guts for not marking Charlotte if not, his life and pack would have been turned upside down.
“Except that I feel different,” Sheridan said honestly, not able to put words to it. It was hard to explain if it was just due to the mate bond or something else happening.
“How different?” Alpha Nick was very curious about it but Sheridan felt helpless and saddened that she could not explain it to him.
“I don’t know how to explain it.” Alpha Nick was quite tempted by the innocence displayed before him.
“Maybe.” he removed the strap of her lingerie. “If we make love once again, you will understand.”
“You…” her lips were covered with his, as her back hit the bed gently. The erotic moment was interrupted with a banging on the door.
Drowned in passionate kisses, he did not want to get it, except it kept banging. Sheridan slowly pulled away and nudged him.
“Please get the door. What if its Bree?” She understood that the siblings needed to spend some time together before Bree leaves.
“Alright,” Alpha Nick replied. Recalling that Bree would be leaving soon, he wore a pair of shorts and a shirt.
Reaching and opening the door, it was not what he expected as Alpha Knight and Seiko stood in front of the door with their Lunas beside them. They were all formally dressed.
Alpha Smight spoke haly “Alpha Nok. I’m sorry but me and my Luna have to leave now. Our pack is under an
Alpha. Nick was angered. “What? Do you know where the enemies are from? Do you need my help?” He asked all aogether, ready to leave with them
His problems were temporary forgotten as well Alpha Knight was grateful for his concern and proceed to explain
“I was told they are rogues but Alpha Seiko already agreed to go with us. Also, I know that your pack needs you at this moment. Charlene disappeared somehow and I don’t think its safe to leave your pack in a vulnerable state.”
Alpha Nack’s mand was drawn back to his problems so he did not insist on it. “Then let me get some of my warriors to go with you. If you need more help, just let me know.”
Alpha Knight once again refused. For as long as Charlotte disappeared, it was easy to discern that she would be back.
With whatever power she has with it being unknown, the dark moon pack had to be ready. “Don’t worry. Alpha Seiko
aced some of his warriors to meet us there.”
Alpha. Nick was not Being that be could not offer any help to them and said. “We have not even had time to talk about the business but boperly we shall do so during the coronation.”
Sore, we can. Apia Knight replied.
Steradan had dressed up and appeared beside Alpha Nick, greeting the Lunas good bye. After everything calms, they could meet again to catch up on Luna duties.
The two Alphas and their Luas left before Alpha Nick remembered that Alpha Ansaldo was in Bree’s room.
Seemed that Alpha Knight had not informed Alpha Ansaldo about the attack. But it was understandable.
Alpha Knight and Seiko had their Lonas and Ansaldo only met Bree here. They had a lot to catch up on and their
crocation was going to come on as well
“Do you think we should do some pack rounds? Everybody slept a lot, Sheridan asked, though she was rather suggesting in
pha Nick did not refuse. Hearing about a pack being attacked ruined his erotic mood. How could he be selfish to nd pleasure when his fellow Alpha’s pack was in a chaos?

Te let me get so be very early.”
Alpha Nick picked two sweaters before leaving with Sheridan as they continued to speak. “I agree. Everyone has rested enough and we need to find Charlotte, dead or alive. If not, Daisy can never join us here.”
Alpha Nick’s Engers balled Charlotte was the biggest mistake of his life. “I have thought about it as well.”
The ringing of Alpha Nick’s phone interrupted the conversation and he casually answered the call, not expecting who
“Alpha Nick please don’t hang up. It’s me. Tom.

Please forgive me for the missing days. I am trying to round up the story and hence the delays. Kindly bear with me.
Chapter 114
Alpha Nick, who was strolling with Sheridan, quickly pulled her into his arms as if danger surrounded them.
“Tom? You know you are supposed to be dead, right?” Alpha Nick asked. Sheridan heard the name and signaled him. to put the conversation on speaker mode.
Alpha Nick did so as Sheridan copied the strange number on Alpha Nick’s phone. She instantly initiated a tracker. If Tom could stay on the line for at least a minute, they would know his location.
At the end of the line, Tom was nervous but did not have anyone else in mind to help him at this moment. He proceeded to speak over the phone.
“Alpha Nick, since I’m alive, please spare me.”
Suspicion glazed Alpha Nick’s voice as he retorted, “If that was the only thing you wanted, you would not have called. Where is Charlotte?”
There were no mincing words with Alpha Nick when it involved the safety of his pack and loved ones.
“I can’t give you
you information about her for free. Tom responded, fearing the worst.
Good thing he was far from the Dark Moon Pack, and should Alpha Nick send anyone after him, he would have escaped before the person appeared.
“Both of you are going to die anyway,” Nick said seriously, not ready for any bargains. The duo was a threat to his pack, and he had to act fast before the menace spread like a communicable disease
“What she’s up to has nothing to do with me,” Tom tried to clarify, Nick’s interest peaked at knowing what Charlotte
was up to.
Athena said some things, and though Nick was aware, he still needed the details. “How did you manage to escape?” He asked seriously. Tom did not speak immediately, rather thinking seriously about his demand.
“All that information would be given if you give me what I want.”
Nick was amazed by his guts to negotiate anything with him at a time like this but chose to listen. “What do you
want?
Tom should be ashamed, but Alpha Nick was the one who destroyed his business and laid his cards on the table.
“I need money to start over. You already ruined my businesses.”
Sheridan was smiling, and so was Alpha Nick, but both for different reasons. “You are smart enough to know that I did, but what makes you think that I will be willing to help or give you my money when I want you dead?” Alpha Nick asked, hoping for a way to complete what he started with both individuals.
“That’s because the information I will give you will help you to nail Charlotte. Trust me, it shall be worth it
“Trust you?” Alpha Nick laughed. “That is like hanging myself on the neck.” The man was not making it easy for his former best friend.
Alpha Nick listened to Tom’s next excuse, which was rather a sensible one.
“I understand, but I have changed. I just want to start my life afresh. Look, I’m sorry for everything. I hurt you, but you got better. Charlotte can never compare with Sheridan.”

Chapter 114
“You should thank me for it. If I hadn’t lured her away, you would have marked her the first time you met and would have never had Sheridan.”
Alpha Nick recalled that it was true. Come to think of it, he could not punish himself to be on the same bed with Charlotte.
With Sheridan in his arms, Alpha Nick was ready to let things go for Tom, but a different rule applied to Charlotte.
“What assurance do I have that after giving you the money, you will give me the information I need?”
Tom thought of a collateral and used a human one. “My parents are still alive. Even if I escape, they are still vulnerable.
Alpha Nick was satisfied with the answer and asked, “So how much are we looking at?”
“Just half a million. I’m already in front of the bank. If you send the money, I will withdraw it and give you the information,” “Tom said nervously from the end of the line.
“Hold on,” Alpha Nick said and faced Sheridan after putting the call on hold. “What do you think?”
Sheridan did not have to think much to answer this. “With his parents on the line, I think it’s worth taking the risk. We need to end Charlotte.
Alpha Nick agreed with her, instantly transferring the money with Tom on the line. As soon as it was confirmed, he tapped the unmute button.
“Have you got it?” Tom spoke from the end of the line, no one took him seriously because his presence was not registered.
“I have to go to the bank to check. This phone isn’t mine. I will call you after withdrawing the money,” Tom said and ended the call.
Alpha Nick stared at Sheridan in his arms after the screen of the phone went dark. “I hope this works out.”
Sheridan’s head bobbed confidently. “Same here, but at least he said the truth about his location,” she said, Alpha Nick’s curious gaze landed on her.
“How did you know?” He asked softly. Sheridan explained it to him.
“I’ve been tracking him.”
Alpha Nick was proud to have her. “I’m glad it’s you.”
The pack was quiet, so they strolled around, engrossed in a conversation before Alpha Nick’s phone rang again.
“I got the money. Thanks. Charlotte is at the magic pack. She seems to have some strange powers and rescued me. I woke up to find myself at the magic pack, but she told me to stay so we can revenge on you.”
Alpha Nick’s arm around Sheridan stiffened instantly. “I was given the chance to either join her plans or leave with nothing. I chose the latter. I don’t know the details of her plans, but I know she’s coming for you. I also gave you the location,” Tom pointed out on the phone.
“How did you get to the magic pack?” Alpha Nick asked.
“I don’t know. You must have some magic. I’ve done my part. The rest is on you. Thanks, Nick. I’m very sorry for betraying your trust, but I promise you would never see me again.”
It was good to keep one’s fiends close and their enemies closer, but Alpha Nick was satisfied with the collateral.

Chapter 114
“I wish you all the best, Tom, but if I find out that you lied to me, I would not only come back for my money but also your life.”
“I already experienced your anger. That would never happen.” Tom said seriously.
Alpha Nick merely ended the call when a mindlink zapped through his mind. “Ma’am and Alpha Arnold are back.”
Alpha Nick smiled and said to Sheridan. “Since we are talking about the magic pack, mom is back and is with Arnold. We should go and find out more.”
Chapter 115
“Ma’am, it’s good to have you back.” Sheridan and Alpha Nick arrived almost at the same time to welcome Athena. She looked exhausted, not having slept over at the Moonshine Pack.
However, Athena was rather worried about Sheridan. “It’s late. What are you still doing awake?” She asked worriedly.
Seeing Sheridan hugging Athena affectionately, Arnold could not help feeling that he was pushed aside.
“Sherry did you forget about me so soon?” He asked, feigning annoyance. Sheridan pulled away from Athena and went to hug him.
“Not at all. You look tired. Shouldn’t you rest?” She asked with care, Arnold smiled and replied.
“I will. I’m glad to see you well. I guess I was worried for nothing.”
Indeed, he was very worried but after seeing Sheridan with his own eyes, he could now leave and be at peace that nothing bad would happen to her.
“Good you know,” Alpha Nick said, Arnold smiled and went to the room he was given at the pack house.
“Dad is sleeping so mom, let’s go to my room to talk,” Alpha Nick said seriously and began walking upstairs but Sheridan sympathized with the middle–aged woman.
“She looks tired.”
“I know but we won’t take much of her time, right?” Alpha Nick insisted, knowing that his mother would not mind. The three went to the second Alpha Chamber and Athena asked instantly.
“What is the problem? Sheridan is fine. Is that not enough? Athena did not hide her annoyance, feeling as if she was. being interrogated.
The most important things had been done so she was no longer disturbed.
“No mom. There are a few things I want to know. It’s about the magic pack. What do you know about it?”
Athena stiffened a little befo
she replied. “It’s just as the name sounds. Everything about it is magic and everyone there has some strange powers. The pack is not visible to the eye, as it’s protected by magic.”
“How do we get in?” Alpha Nick asked again. If an attack on the magic pack would help him to end everything about Charlotte, then that would be great.
“Don’t,” Athena said seriously, confusion clouded the atmosphere. All along. Athena told Alpha Nick to prepare for war. Now that he was ready to attack, she was telling them not to?
“But Charlotte is there. That is the only place to get her, Alpha Nick explained slowly but Athena only shook her head.
“Don’t fight the enemy in their strong hold. It would be better for the battle to be brought to your doorstep. If it involves Charlotte, she would be in for a surprise when she comes here.”
Alpha Nick recalled what happened during Charlotte’s disappearance. There was so much chaos and he wondered if something of that sort happened again.
Where did she suddenly get those powers from? Alpha Nick wondered. “Then how do we fight pack members with magic?” He finally asked.
Chapter 115
Athena was tired from the long return travel but felt that without giving the appropriate answers to her son, neither of them would have a good night’s sleep.
“You don’t have to. Sheridan would only have to take out Charlotte. She must lead the war but you should be mindful of deception,” Athena cautioned them, Alpha Nick refused to go by that plan.
“No way I would put her at risk. She has not even been coronated yet.”
Athena did not want to be the one to say it but it was very necessary. “Nick, Sherry has a history with Charlotte.”
Surprise covered Alpha Nick’s face as he stared at Sheridan. “Is it true?” He asked, Sheridan nodded her head and began to explain it to him but wondered how Athena knew about it.
“We were best friends before 1 realized that for most times, she wanted me dead. I always escaped her traps. The day I was supposed to meet you at the restaurant and got there late, she had sent some thugs after me but ma’am, how did you know this?”
Before Athena could respond, Alpha Nick asked Sheridan. “Why did you not tell me?”
Sheridan was finding it hard to control her anger and to not remind him of the past. “Are you seriously asking me that question?” She questioned, Alpha Nick instantly realized his mistake and apologized.
“I’m sorry. It was all my fault.”
Athena was only looking for a way to resolve everything and have some good sleep. It was time for Sheridan to know her level of importance to the Thorax family.
“Sherry, there is a family secret you have to know but it should not be shared with anyone else.”
“Okay,” Sheridan answered due to her trust for Athena and the middle aged woman began to expla
it to them.
“The Thorax family has some powers passed down to the first children. If you have a boy as a first child, the powers would cease to manifest until that boy grows into a man and marries a woman who gives birth to a girl.”
Sheridan was quickly putting the pieces together. “Was that the reason why you wanted to see Daisy?”
Athena nodded her head and answered. “Yes. I gave her the emerald bracelet you gave me but there are powers in it”
Sheridan was beginning to understand the reason why Athena loved the bracelet so much. It was of good use to her. “How does it work?” She asked.
“Because she’s very young, it would only protect her but you as the mother, can harness the full potential of it until she gets her wolf,” Athena revealed, Sheridan was happy for the fact that she would be able to battle with Charlotte to end everything.
“You mean I can have some strange powers?” Sheridan was excited about this but the next explanation put her on the edge.
“Yes, and that was the reason I told you to take good care of the pendant. Now where is it?” She asked, Sheridan bit her lower lip thoughtfully.
“I didn’t throw it away. I must be in my jewelry box. I just decided not to wear it because it had Nick’s picture.” She was beginning to regret it upon realizing the importance but Alpha Nick took the blame.
“I deserved it.”
Sheridan had no idea exactly where she kept the pendant as she could not find it in the jewelry box. She began a search for it as she asked, “What if I don’t find it?”
