“Mom, please don’t be like this,” Sheridan embraced and comforted her mother.
Alpha Nick quickly spotted the little girl walking in their direction.
His heart warmed greatly and shock fledged from his soul. “My little Daisy.”
Alpha Nick went on his knees and spread his arms, the little girl filled in the space, piggling.
Alpha Nick’s arms wrapped around her as he rose to his feet with her in his arms.
She had the emerald bracelet on her wrist, but he was also amazed that she walked so fast and her pace was quite steady.
It had been barely a week since he held her in his arms, but she seemed to have grown a year.
Not in size or stature, but rather in strength and the pace of her m e n t a l and intellectual development.
The bond between the father and daughter was the most amazing thing anyone had ever seen.
Breaking from the hug, Sheridan’s mother’s sorrow suddenly vanished, and she began to explain the events of the past few days to them.
“She doesn’t allow her uncles to carry her like that but loves to watch them training from the balcony upstairs.”
There were joyful tears in the middle-aged woman’s eyes as she recalled the events of the few days she spent with her granddaughter.

She giggled like someone who understood her father’s words.
Alpha Nick took over taking care of Daisy, and Sheridan was envious as all the attention rested on her daughter.
She never thought any female could take Alpha Nick’s attention from her, but her own daughter did. What an irony.
“You little charmer. You succeeded in taking all the attention. Not only that, you pretend not to know me,” she tickled Daisy, and the girl was just cackling
Alpha Nick had joyful tears in his eyes, and throughout the time they spent, the only time he was not with Daisy was when she fell asleep.
That was the only time Sheridan or anyone else could have his attention.
“Nick, now you are taking our lucky charm away?”
Sheridan’s mother returned to being sorrowful once more, and so were her brothers. Their mates were in the kitchen, trying to ensure that the best maals were prepared for them,

Alpha Nick jokingly asked, not knowing he had poked at their biggest challenges.
“It’s not as if we have not tried,” Arnold spoke in painful tone, Nick and Sheridan were rendered speechless.
“What are you talking about?” Sheridan was unaware of the infertility issues in her pack.
No wonder her parents did not want Daisy to leave. How she wished for them to have more grand children to keep them busy.
“We are still trying to find out if someone placed a curse on any of us. None of our seven mates would get pregnant. It couldn’t be a coincidence, right?” Alpha Arnold asked, looking depressed.

He almost lost his desire of being a father, as they had began to think about how to convince Alpha Nick to let Daisy take over the pack in the future.
His six brothers were equally stunned to mute. No longer would Daisy be burdened with managing two packs, as the seven brothers would all have their successors with them.
This was the rarest and most bizarre news Alpha Nick had ever heard. “Why don’t we celebrate?” He spoke up, and Boaz, the seventh brother, went to bring a big bottle of expensive champagne from the wine cabinet.
He shook it slightly, allowing the foam to linger around the bottle. The service got him slightly calm as he was still stunned from the news.
“To a future of changing so many diapers,” Alpha Nick toasted to his in-laws, everybody giggled, and the atmosphere lightened.

In the Dark Moon pack, the pressure was high on Beta Dustin and Goldie as they led the defense of the pack against the intruders from the magic pack.

So far, they had been able to hold on well, draining the life of any warriors who made it in, but from the northern part, the defense seemed to be breaking.

Goldie had been fighting in human form beside Beta Dustin but could not shift because once that was done, she would lose communication with him.

If the coronation had been done, communication would have been easier between them as she would have been privy

“We should split. I can lead the warriors from the east and west wing. Then you focus on the north and south,” Goldie said seriously, but Dustin was concerned about their communication channel.

That is dangerous. I won’t know if something bad happens to you.” He ripped the throat of one of the attackers as he spoke, Goldie kicked another one in the stomach and plucked the eyes out.

Another one was running in her direction, and Dustin slashed his throat before he got there. Goldie sent another two of them lifeless to the floor and spoke through pants.

The fight grew intense as Goldie communicated to Beta Dustin through the warrior he sent with her.

“I think it’s time for us to shift. Please inform Beta Dustin.”

The warrior obeyed as Dustin agreed. “She is right. I will mind link everyone, but no matter what, don’t leave her side, and if there is any danger, let me know beforehand, Dustin responded through the mind link.

Goldie received the message and shifted instantly. As soon as the warriors from the magic pack fell from the wall, she would attack them in wolf form without giving them the opportunity to shift.

That way, she was able to take down triple what she took down in human form. Goldie’s brown wolf was wilder than Dustin thought as he kept stealing glances at her even after the shift.

Things happened so fast that he did not have the opportunity to see her wolf until now. It was like a fiery magical

moment for him.

Two wolves charged at Goldie after hiding behind the others to descend the walls without being killed and had shifted, but her defense was flawless as she drained the life out of them.

The good thing about fighting with warriors from the magic pack was the fact that they could not use magic in their

battle.

Chapter 120

At this point, they were fast falling to their graves. Unknown to Goldie and Dustin, the fight was in sync with what was going on in front of the pack, especially when the warriors of the magic pack began to retreat or were they disappearing?

Sheridan was not taking it easy on Charlotte, her legs and hands kicking and hitting. Charlotte was in so much pain, her injuries too intense for her wolf to heal her.

Goliath, the Alpha, and about twenty warriors from the magic pack tried to make it easy for Charlotte by helping in the fight against Sheridan, but Alpha Nick was right there to protect her from them, allowing her to focus on Charlotte and her evil wolf

Even as it was one against twenty–two, they were still no match for Alpha Nick, especially when he took on their Alpha first, injuring him beyond healing. The remaining twenty warriors were nothing to him, and Goliath began to fear, looking over at Charlotte’s progress.

Charlotte quickly shifted into wolf form. Her cursed wolf was not a good sight, and Alpha Nick feared Sheridan losing and was ready to take over the battle, except that this was Sheridan’s fight.

Charlotte trusted that her wolf would be able to defeat Sheridan but was surprised when Sheridan shifted. Her white Luna wolf appeared fierce and gracious, and Alpha Nick was marveled.

This was not the way he wanted to see her wolf for the first time, but it so happened to be so. With the way Sheridan’s wolf, Solara, defended herself and wounded Charcoal on the chest, almost reaching her heart, Charlotte was gripped

with fear.

‘Charcoal, what is going on?”

Charcoal was annoyed and gave Charlotte control, and Solara did the same.

“Can’t you see the mark on her neck? My powers would not work on her. She also smells like Alpha Nick, meaning that he already mated with her.”

“No.” Charlotte cried, knowing it was the end for her. How could Alpha Nick have marked and mated with Sheridan within a week when she had waited years for it?

With Sheridan having Alpha Nick’s fluid inside her, it was impossible for Charcoal’s evil powers to work against her.

Had Charlotte known that Alpha Nick truly loved Sheridan and was not just getting back at her, she would have developed another strategy.

However, she still tried to use the powers from the magic pack this time, but as she sent the flame towards Sheridan, the pendant on her chest illuminated, sending the flames back to Charlotte, and she fell on her back.

Sheridan’s elongated fingers pierced through her throat, but she disappeared instantly, and so had all the magic pack members.

Miraculously, Alpha Nick gave his attention after stealing a few kisses from Sheridan. His excitement stemmed from the fact that he was finally going to be reunited with his little bundle of joy.

“They have been defeated, and I don’t think Charlotte can survive that injury. Let’s go and celebrate. I have a very important announcement to make.”

Beta Dustin’s hand wrapped around Goldie’s as they joined the celebration with the pack members.

Athena was coming out of the safe house with the children and elderly she had kept safe during the war since she could not fight.

Tedmond was by her side, a smile blooming on their faces at the sound of the victory chants. The Dark Moon pack was exceptionally noisy that day, but that was the exact excitement they all needed.

The victory sounds of the pack members deafened everyone, so only when they got close to where Sheridan stood could her voice be heard.

“I see you won,” Athena said proudly to Sheridan

Athena and Sheridan were amazed to see him so excited, and Alpha Nick ran up the stairs to get his and Sheridan’s phones, shocked by the number of missed calls.

He redialed Alpha Ansaldo as he descended the stairs. “Ansaldo, I missed your calls.”

A sigh of relief could be heard at the end of the line as Alpha Ansaldo responded through the Bluetooth connected to his dashboard.

On the other side of the line, Alpha Nick’s arms were tightly wrapped around Sheridan, seeming as if she was going to

run away.

He addressed the pack members beaming with extraordinary excitement. “Congratulations for winning the war against invisible forces.”

The pack members roared, cheering victoriously as he added, “Now, for the surprise I told you about, you shall all be informed about it tomorrow.”

“Ohhhhh,” the cheers turned to disappointment as their faces fell.

“We want to know it now,” the courageous warriors kept chanting among themselves, with the rest of the pack members joining in.

Alpha Nick waved his hand for them to calm down before he explained it to them.

“Well, tomorrow is not far, and I intend to take my sweet time in letting you know. For now, we work together. We can – finish cleaning the pack in an hour. Not much damage has been done.”

The pack members ran in opposite directions, retrieving their cleaning materials from where they had kept them before the gathering.

In less than an hour, the pack was spotlessly cleaned, and all the charcoal removed to restore the pack to its former glory. After Alpha Nick showered and had dinner, he said to Sheridan,

“We have to go and bring back Daisy. We should be back before the pack wakes up.”

It was late, but Alpha Nick saw it as the best time to make the trip. That way, they would return in the morning. “Are we going alone?”

Sheridan wished for Goldie to come along, and as if reading her mind, Alpha Nick comforted her.

Arriving at the Moonshine pack in the wee hours of the morning, they were surprised to see Sheridan and Alpha Nick, but they knew the reason.

Earlier at the Dark Moon pack, the weather was fair, so Alpha Nick, Sheridan, Dustin, and Goldie arrived at training.

It was livelier than before due to Sheridan and Goldie’s presence, and everyone perceived something new.

Sheridan was known as the queen of innovation, making something out of nothing, like turning their weak warriors into strong ones.

No one knew Goldie, though she had frequented the pack in the past, limiting herself to the kitchen where she was received by Sheridan.

Things were different now, and she was exposed to all other parts of the pack. It was a happy moment for all warriors and trainees.

Alpha Nick and Beta Dustin decided to take charge of the male warriors, then Sheridan and Goldie the female.

Earlier at the Dark Moon pack, the weather was fair, so Alpha Nick, Sheridan, Dustin, and Goldie arrived at training.

It was livelier than before due to Sheridan and Goldie’s presence, and everyone perceived something new.

Sheridan was known as the queen of innovation, making something out of nothing, like turning their weak warriors into strong ones.

No one knew Goldie, though she had frequented the pack in the past, limiting herself to the kitchen where she was received by Sheridan.

Alpha Nick and Beta Dustin decided to take charge of the male warriors, then Sheridan and Goldie the female.

Before Charlotte could make a move to attack, Goliath sent her a strong reminder. “After this war, I will no longer be indebted to you.”

Feeling like he owed her a last favor, Goliath gave her his all. “Then take this.” He handed her a cream. “Rub it on your face.”

“What for?” Charlotte asked and began to do as told. She trusted Goliath with her life, obeying his order before asking questions,

Knowing that his explanation would excite her, Goliath revealed,

“The moment you desire it, you shall look exactly like Sheridan. If Alpha Nick is unable to distinguish, you can kill Sheridan and take her place.”

Charlotte froze with excitement at the news. This was the greatest blessing she had ever received, but she also couldn’t ignore the potential risks. “What if I’m unable to kill her?”

“Then you can make Alpha Nick believe that she’s the imposter. She would be sent away, and you can have everything

you want.”

“I could even have her killed,” Charlotte thought aloud, feeling like this was the greatest gift of all.

Chapter 112 

Tom thought through the matter. Charlotte was not willing to let her friend or whatever loan him the money, but one thing was sure. 

He would not stay at any pack and become a slave like what happened in the Dark Moon Pack. Though well–fed, his movement was restricted. Losing everything, he would rather start from scratch. 

“I want to leave, Tom said with his eyes closed. Goliath clapped his hand, and he disappeared, finding himself at a strange place. 

Charlotte was disappointed, though, but had a feeling that Tom would soon try to find her to apologize if he was unable to make it on his own. Goliath asked her. “So what do you want to do now?” 

“I want to meet the pack members. Charlotte said with determination. Who knows, she might just own this pack as well. Unfortunately for her, Goliath was not so stupid. 

Knowing how ambitious Charlotte was, he could not give her too much. His only debt was the fact that she saved his life, and that would be paid by helping her to war against the Dark Moon Pack. 

“No. They would not come out. Don’t forget they were banished,” he created an excuse, but it was also true. 

Charlotte was not happy about this. Going into war with a pack she did not know was not only strange but also suspicious. 

“So how do I communicate with them?” 

“You have to do it through me.” Goliath said seriously. Charlotte could not insist. If she did so, her intentions might just be out in the open. 

“Alright. In two weeks, we attack the Dark Moon pack,” she forced a smile and said, but Goliath was skeptical. 

“Why not tomorrow?”

“Daisy is with my queen in her chamber. I hope you aren’t taking her away?” The Alpha King asked. Daisy was his first grandchild, so naturally, everybody doted on the girl. 

It would be saddening if she was taken away from them so soon. Athena assured him by saying, 

“The only person who should move Daisy in or out of this pack should be either of her parents.” 

A smile stretched the corner of the lips of the Alpha King. “Okay.” 

Arnold led Athena to his mother’s chamber, and after hearing a soft “come in” after the knock, Athena was delighted to see Daisy sleeping peacefully in her cot. 

It was obvious that she shared the same room as the Alpha King and queen, per the arrangement in the room. 

Athena went to lift the cute creature from the cot and into her arms. “Oh goddess, she’s so pretty like a female version of my son.” 

The queen vehemently agreed. “Yes. She took after Alpha Nick.” 

Athena could not take her eyes off her sleeping granddaughter, saying to the queen, “Can I have some alone time with her?” 

“Why is that?” The queen frowned, feeling suspicious. Athena was not afraid of what she wanted to say to Daisy, but the fact remained that it was a family secret. 

Sheridan would know about it with time because she was Alpha Nick’s mate, but not her parents or brothers. The lesser people knew about it, the better for everybody. 

“It is very necessary. I am Daisy’s grandmother too, and all I want is to spend some time with her.” 

After a little thought, the queen said, “Alright. I will get her some food. She has been sleeping for quite long.” 

“Was she breastfed?” Athena asked, just to confirm a few things. If Daisy was the chosen one, then there had to be some character traits. 

“No. Sherry said that Daisy never liked to suck the breast.” 

“She’s the chosen one,” Athena mistakenly said aloud, the queen’s brows furrowed. 

“What did you say?” Athena soon realized her mistake and said, 

“I would love coffee. Black. No sugar.” Alpha Nick never sucked his mother’s breast. He should have been the one to possess the powers, except that he was a boy. 

Only a girl had the womb to carry it. The queen would have asked the maids to prepare the coffee, but since she personally made Daisy’s food because of what Sherry told her, she decided to make the coffee as well.

“I will be right back.” 

As soon as the door closed, Athena chanted a few words to the sleeping baby in her arms. 

“From this day forward, you are protected against all spells and evil powers, and would become the most your time. This bracelet belongs to your mother and should never come off from your wrist.”

The queen had hastened things because of the sound of Daisy’s cries and soon returned. “Your coffee. Why is she asleep so soon? I heard her cry.” She did not mince her words. 

Athena smiled. It was done anyway. “Thanks, but I don’t like coffee. I would leave now.” 

The queen saw the emerald bracelet on Daisy’s tiny wrist. “What is that on her wrist? It looks like my bracelet.” 

Athena smiled. The powers were transferred from the pendant to the bracelet, and since it originally belonged to the queen, it made it even better. 

“Sheridan gave it to me, but now, I’m giving it to my grandchild. She must never take it off.” 

She kissed Daisy on the forehead before placing her back in her cot. Athena left after discussing some casual things. 

The queen knew that she was not an ordinary woman. A woman who would dare to ask for coffee when she did not like it sure has some tricks up her sleeves, but it was obvious that Athena was not a bad woman. 

Alpha Nick laid beside the sleeping Sheridan when her eyes opened suddenly. “Athena. I have to talk to her.”

Chapter 113 

Alpha Nick was shocked. Sheridan was sleeping as if she would never wake up but the force at which she jolted awake created the impression that something must have woken her.

“Arnold already took her to see Daisy. How are you feeling?” Alpha Nick asked worriedly, Sheridan stared at him with mixed feelings and responded.

The responsibility of the pack was now shared between them as she could now feel the pressure Alpha Nick faced on a daily basis.

Alpha Nick did so as Sheridan copied the strange number on Alpha Nick’s phone. She instantly initiated a tracker. If Tom could stay on the line for at least a minute, they would know his location. 

At the end of the line, Tom was nervous but did not have anyone else in mind to help him at this moment. He proceeded to speak over the phone. 

“Alpha Nick, since I’m alive, please spare me.” 

Suspicion glazed Alpha Nick’s voice as he retorted, “If that was the only thing you wanted, you would not have called. Where is Charlotte?” 

There were no mincing words with Alpha Nick when it involved the safety of his pack and loved ones.

The pack was quiet, so they strolled around, engrossed in a conversation before Alpha Nick’s phone rang again. 

“I got the money. Thanks. Charlotte is at the magic pack. She seems to have some strange powers and rescued me. I woke up to find myself at the magic pack, but she told me to stay so we can revenge on you.” 

Alpha Nick’s arm around Sheridan stiffened instantly. “I was given the chance to either join her plans or leave with nothing. I chose the latter. I don’t know the details of her plans, but I know she’s coming for you. I also gave you the location,” Tom pointed out on the phone. 

“How did you get to the magic pack?” Alpha Nick asked. 

“I don’t know. You must have some magic. I’ve done my part. The rest is on you. Thanks, Nick. I’m very sorry for betraying your trust, but I promise you would never see me again.” 

It was good to keep one’s fiends close and their enemies closer, but Alpha Nick was satisfied with the collateral.

“Not at all. You look tired. Shouldn’t you rest?” She asked with care, Arnold smiled and replied. 

“I will. I’m glad to see you well. I guess I was worried for nothing.” 

Indeed, he was very worried but after seeing Sheridan with his own eyes, he could now leave and be at peace that nothing bad would happen to her. 

“Good you know,” Alpha Nick said, Arnold smiled and went to the room he was given at the pack house. 

“Dad is sleeping so mom, let’s go to my room to talk,” Alpha Nick said seriously and began walking upstairs but Sheridan sympathized with the middle–aged woman. 

“She looks tired.” 

“I know but we won’t take much of her time, right?” Alpha Nick insisted, knowing that his mother would not mind. The three went to the second Alpha Chamber and Athena asked instantly. 

“What is the problem? Sheridan is fine. Is that not enough? Athena did not hide her annoyance, feeling as if she was. being interrogated.

“No mom. There are a few things I want to know. It’s about the magic pack. What do you know about it?”

Chapter 115 

Athena was tired from the long return travel but felt that without giving the appropriate answers to her son, neither of them would have a good night’s sleep. 

“You don’t have to. Sheridan would only have to take out Charlotte. She must lead the war but you should be mindful of deception,” Athena cautioned them, Alpha Nick refused to go by that plan. 

“No way I would put her at risk. She has not even been coronated yet.” 

Athena did not want to be the one to say it but it was very necessary. “Nick, Sherry has a history with Charlotte.” 

Surprise covered Alpha Nick’s face as he stared at Sheridan. “Is it true?” He asked, Sheridan nodded her head and began to explain it to him but wondered how Athena knew about it. 

“We were best friends before 1 realized that for most times, she wanted me dead. I always escaped her traps. The day I was supposed to meet you at the restaurant and got there late, she had sent some thugs after me but ma’am, how did you know this?” 

Before Athena could respond, Alpha Nick asked Sheridan. “Why did you not tell me?” 

Sheridan was finding it hard to control her anger and to not remind him of the past. “Are you seriously asking me that question?” She questioned, Alpha Nick instantly realized his mistake and apologized. 

“I’m sorry. It was all my fault.” 

Athena was only looking for a way to resolve everything and have some good sleep. It was time for Sheridan to know her level of importance to the Thorax family. 

“Sherry, there is a family secret you have to know but it should not be shared with anyone else.” 

“Okay,” Sheridan answered due to her trust for Athena and the middle aged woman began to expla 

it to them. 

“The Thorax family has some powers passed down to the first children. If you have a boy as a first child, the powers would cease to manifest until that boy grows into a man and marries a woman who gives birth to a girl.” 

Sheridan was quickly putting the pieces together. “Was that the reason why you wanted to see Daisy?” 

Athena nodded her head and answered. “Yes. I gave her the emerald bracelet you gave me but there are powers in it” 

Sheridan was beginning to understand the reason why Athena loved the bracelet so much. It was of good use to her. “How does it work?” She asked. 

“Because she’s very young, it would only protect her but you as the mother, can harness the full potential of it until she gets her wolf,” Athena revealed, Sheridan was happy for the fact that she would be able to battle with Charlotte to end everything. 

“You mean I can have some strange powers?” Sheridan was excited about this but the next explanation put her on the edge. 

“Yes, and that was the reason I told you to take good care of the pendant. Now where is it?” She asked, Sheridan bit her lower lip thoughtfully. 

“I didn’t throw it away. I must be in my jewelry box. I just decided not to wear it because it had Nick’s picture.” She was beginning to regret it upon realizing the importance but Alpha Nick took the blame. 

“I deserved it.” 

Sheridan had no idea exactly where she kept the pendant as she could not find it in the jewelry box. She began a search for it as she asked, “What if I don’t find it?” 

Chapter 106 

The door closed abruptly, and it was as if Alpha Nick was never there. Sheridan blinked her eyes, a confused look on her face. 

“I saw Nick. I was not hallucinating, right?” She looked around, everything seeming strange. Then her gaze landed on Athena. “Where am I?” Everything that happened earlier, felt like a blur. 

“You are in my room. Nick needs to take care of something very important,” Athena said. Sheridan rose to her feet, a slight dizziness swaying her. 

“Then I should help him. That is my responsibility.” 

Athena helped stabilize her before guiding her back to the bed. “It is. But you have to be marked before you begin to do so. For now, tell me about my grandchild.” 

Sheridan stiffened slightly. “Nick told you?” 

Athena was slightly dismayed but kept a warm smile on her face. “Were you planning to keep her from me?” 

Guilt wedged in Sheridan’s facial features as she responded. “No. I was just afraid because her life was, threatened.” 

Athena held her hands and spoke seriously. “I have to see her. There is something I need to give her.” 

Sheridan did not think of Athena as a threat, and whatever she wanted to give Daisy would only be good and not bad. But the problem was the journey between both packs. Sheridan was already tired from this one. 

“It’s a long drive to my pack. Can it wait?” She asked softly, and Athena pursed her lips thoughtfully. She would have wanted to see Daisy immediately, but it was understandable that Sheridan was tired and also, she had to be marked. 

“I can endure a few days. I am patient.” 

In front of the pack house, Alpha Nick was met with the same chaos he left behind. “Where is Sherry? Did you find her?” Alpha Nick was faced with Atlas and Henry as soon as he stepped out of the entrance of the pack house.

Chapter 106 

Arnold and the others had joined in the search for Charlotte and Tom since Alpha Nick took time to return. The pack members were searching, so it was appropriate to do so. 

Even the visiting Alphas had all joined in the search. “She’s fine. She’s with my mom,” Alpha Nick replied to everyone’s relief, with the exception of Henry. 

“Are you sure?” He asked, pointing out. “You rejected Charlotte, and she disappeared with Sheridan.”

Alpha Nick sighed. “Go upstairs. Or call her on the phone. It’s not safe for her to come out because she would be the target.” 

Atlas frowned imperceptibly. He could never allow his kid sister to be in any kind of danger. “What are you talking about? If this pack is not safe for her, we shall be glad to take her with us.” 

Growing slightly irritated from their lack of trust in him, Alpha Nick asked seriously, his expression dark. “Do I look like a man who can’t protect his mate?” 

“Not so, but I’m still curious to know how she disappeared,” Atlas insisted on knowing. Alpha Nick understood that his questions were only based on his care for his sister, so he calmed down and replied. 

“I will explain, but right now, there are things to do. If you want to help, then join us in gathering the fallen trees.” 

He mind–linked the pack members so they could get the information wherever they were. ‘Everyone, get the fallen trees. We have to burn them to get enough charcoal to spread around the borders of the pack. Charlotte 

has turned evil and can only be repelled with charcoal until we are able to completely get rid of her. 

There was no response, but from their actions and the directions they moved, it was obvious that they got into 

action as soon as they received the information. 

“Alpha, I don’t think we can train today. It’s already the wee hours of the morning,” Beta Dustin reported, exhausted from packing so many fallen trees. This was the first time for such a request, so there was no 

equipment to do the job except for manpower. 

Alpha Nick was supervising the gathering of the fallen trees himself and responded, “I understand, but this has to be done. Everyone should get involved.” He went to get the fuel and lighter. 

When he got enough trees to start with, he began to light them after pouring the fuel. More fallen trees were 

added to the already burning ones.

Chapter 106 

It took hours for them to get a substantial amount of charcoal, and a lot of water was used to quench the heat before they began to spread the charcoal around the pack borders. By the time they were done, everyone was exhausted, with no energy to ask questions. 

It was already morning, but the pack was quiet as if no one lived there. Everyone had retired to bed. Alpha Nick went back to Athena’s room for Sheridan. 

‘Mom, everything is in place. I’m taking Sheridan with me now.” 

Athena smirked. Nothing should stand in the way of these two marking each other, as it would be a time for her sickness to be lifted off her. “You two should mark each other and mate some more,” Athena said, and Sheridan’s cheeks pinked. 

She wondered how the middle–aged woman could be so shameless in saying something so intimate so casually. 

Reaching Alpha Nick’s room, Sheridan was suddenly nervous, taken aback by Alpha Nick’s dark look. It was unrelenting. “Are you going to do what she said?”

Chapter 107 

Alpha Nick’s gaze only grew darker with desire. He must have been exhausted, but not too exhausted to get this over with. How could he forget about how she tricked him at the resort? “You have no idea how long I’ve waited 

for this.” 

Sheridan was nervous. The moment her wolf recognized Alpha Nick as their mate, she weakened at the sight of him, turning shy. 

“But you are tired. It shows on your face. Let’s have a shower, sleep a little, then get to it,” Sheridan suggested, looking for a way to escape the awkward moment. The desire in Alpha Nick’s eyes was scary. 

It was almost as if he was going to tear her into pieces if she had the chance, doubting that she would be able to walk well in the morning. 

Alpha Nick was amused by the sudden change in her attitude and would have loved to give her some time to readjust to him, but Titan was too eager. 

“Are 

you feeling shy of me? It’s not as if we haven’t done it before. Besides, we could just mark each other and sleep,” he suggested. 

Since they had already done the main thing before, his suggestion was not bad, but not having any memory of how that went, Sheridan was reluctant. 

She had heard from other she–wolves that the marking worked better after the mating session. Since they had just discovered that they were mates, it felt like a first time for them. 

“You speak as if you can remember our first time.” Sheridan was already close to the door of the shower room but Alpha Nick did not try to stop her. 

She could run all she wanted, but she would never be able to hide from him. “That confirms that you are shy quite surprised because of how bold you were the night before you disappeared.” 

Sheridan’s cheeks turned red. She entered the shower room and yelled, “I will go shower first.” 

Alpha Nick waited patiently, and when Sheridan came out of the shower, he wanted to help dry her hair, bu ran out with only a towel robe on. “I’m going to get some ice cream.”

Chapter IUI 

Alpha Nick chuckled and went to shower. By the time he was done and out of the shower, Sheridan was enjoying her strawberry ice cream like a kid. 

Alpha Nick never liked food in his room, but with Sheridan, he didn’t mind. Also, she ate so cautiously that not even the melting ice from the cup fell onto the bed. 

Alpha Nick picked up the hairdryer and began to dry her hair. She stiffened slightly, slowly relaxing. “It’s almost dry,” she muttered after swallowing what she had in her mouth. 

Alpha Nick had only a small towel wrapped around his waist, his well–sculpted muscular body on display. He corrected her. “Almost, not completely dry. No matter what you do, I’m marking you today,” he said seriously. Sheridan grew nervous and ate more ice cream. 

When he was done, he dropped the dryer on the nightstand and took the ice cream from her, dropping it there as 

well. 

Sheridan tried to take back her half–empty cup of ice cream, but Alpha Nick sat beside her, instantly planting å kiss on her lips. 

She loosened up instantly but tried to suppress her moans. Controlled by the mate bond, their senses heightened, and the kiss deepened before Alpha Nick slowly pulled away and stared desirously at her. 

“There, it wasn’t hard, was it?” 

Sheridan shook her head and responded, “No.” 

Alpha Nick untied the rope of her towel robe, and as soon as he took it off, her face blushed red, and she facepalmed. Alpha Nick was admiring what was in front of him. Her fair skin was so smooth, and her body was 

perfect. 

“No need to feel shy. This is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, but do you know what I want right now?” H breath turned heavy as his fingers caressed her feverish skin, making her squirm under his touch. 

She shivered in his arms and shook her head as he said in a deep, sexy tone. “I want to taste you, Sherry. Will y 

let me? I promise not to take long so you can rest.” 

He did not wait for her response before he buried his face between her thighs. An overwhelming pleasure too 

over Sheridan, and she gasped.

“No need to talk. Just enjoy it, my love.” His hands held her thighs firmly in place as his tongue dug into her warm, moist walls. Sheridan gripped the bed tightly, throwing her head backward as she whimpered. Her body was on fire. A pleasurable fire she did not want to be quenched. 

Alpha Nick’s tongue thrusts only deepened as he sucked her juices, having the taste he so longed for. Her arousal kicked in. It was thick and heavy, filling the room with a lustful sensation. 

Sheridan felt as if a bucket of cold water was placed in her abdomen when her release came crashing through. 

A loud moan escaped her. She lost control and released everything into his mouth. Alpha Nick licked her dry before positioning himself on top of her, his hardened member at the tip of her entrance, massaging it softly, as his other hand massaged her breast, pinching her nipples gently. 

Sheridan had not recovered from her release when he thrust into her. She gasped, feeling full from his hugeness. She felt as if she was going to break into two from the size. 

“Nick…” 

“Do you want me to stop?” He thrust slowly in and out of her as he covered her lips with his, allowing her to taste herself in his mouth. Sheridan’s walls had quickly adjusted to his size, and her fingers began to caress his back 

and hair. 

“No, don’t stop. It feels good.” 

Alpha Nick smirked. “Then please wrap your sexy legs around my waist,” he groaned. The moment she obeyed, his thrusts were fast, deep, and unrelenting. He wanted to be gentle but lost control because of her tightness. 

Her moans made it worse, and by the time they were done, fatigue overwhelmed them. However, Alpha Nick was eager to complete everything today. Who knew what Charlotte might have in store for them?
