“Really?” Maximilian leaned over and pulled the seatbelt next to Evelyn.
As he got closer, the scent of hormones slowly enveloped Evelyn.
“I hold grudges, too.” Maximilian looked into Evelyn’s eyes.
Evelyn suddenly became nervous when he said those words.
Had Ivan already told Maximilian about what he had just seen?!
But the next second, Maximilian withdrew his aggressive expression and moved away from her a little.
He grabbed the seatbelt buckle and wrapped it around Evelyn’s chest, securing it firmly in the lock on her side.
What he said was just a coincidence. He wasn’t just testing her earlier!
Evelyn cursed inwardly.
She had known for a long time that he held grudges!
Maximilian happened to be going to the research institute today, so he took Evelyn with him.
In the office, he had a lot of things to handle.
The Wolfe Group had many businesses, and the research institute was just one of them.
Unknowingly, it was already lunchtime when Maximilian’s assistant, Gary, came in, holding a courier bag.
“Mr. Wolfe, this is your package. It’s not signed, but your contact information is precisely written on it.”
Maximilian said calmly, “Open it and see.”
Gary opened the bag, and a sealed transparent bag fell out.

“Mr. Wolfe, your son’s mother is not dead.”
Maximilian stood up excitedly.
He instructed Gary, “Check who sent the package and compare these hairs with Ivan’s for a DNA
test.”
After that, he picked up his phone and walked out of the office while making a phone call. “Kevin, be ready, restart the global Hunt Mission…”
Karen estimated that Maximilian must have received the package, and she planned to see his reaction. When she arrived at his office, Maximilian was not there.
Just then, Maximilian’s office phone rang on the desk.
Karen looked around and saw no one, so she walked over to answer it.
It was a call from the kindergarten. “Are you Ivan’s parents? Your child just hit a classmate in school. Please come over immediately…”
“Oh, okay,” Karen responded and hung up the phone, smiling.
It seemed that her plan in the morning had worked.

When she arrived at the kindergarten, Karen saw two children who had been scratched by Ivan, with bloodstains on their hands, crying loudly.
Their parents also arrived and came over to demand an explanation from Karen.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry!” Karen pretended to look guilty. “Ivan was a ride. I’ll make him apologize right away! And I will cover the medical expenses, too!”
After saying that, she lowered her head and sternly said to Ivan, who was standing next to her, “Ivan, apologize to your classmates!”

After that, she pulled Ivan to the corner.

Ivan’s
eyes immediately turned crimson, and his little fists clenched tightly.
“If you don’t believe me, check it!” Karen laughed even more joyfully.
“Your dad wishes your ugly mother were dead!” She continued.
“She’s not ugly!” Ivan suddenly interrupted Karen. “My mom is the most beautiful!”
He thought of the dream he had last night. Although he couldn’t see his mom’s face clearly in the dream, he still felt that she was beautiful, more beautiful than anyone else!
“So, you still have fantasies about her?” Karen squinted her eyes.
“But, if she sees your ugly side when you go crazy, would she find it repulsive?
“Well, I happen to have a video of you going crazy. Should I send it to her?” Karen threatened.
Ivan trembled all over and involuntarily took a step back.
He thought of the little boy he saw in the car today and had a suspicion.
Could that boy who looked exactly like him be his mom’s child, too?
His mom had other children, normal ones, unlike him, who couldn’t control his madness.
Would his mom hate him when she saw him in a crazy state?
Seeing Ivan’s pale face, Karen became even more pleased. “Scared? Scared that I’ll send it to her? Then apologize!”
Trembling, Ivan walked up to the two children.
His nails almost dug into his palms, his eyes bloodshot, like a beast on the verge of eruption. But the beast broke its own fangs. Pale–faced, he said, “I’m sorry!”
“What? Speak louder, I didn’t hear!” Karen taunted.
“I’m sorry!” Ivan repeated in a louder voice this time.
“Ivan, what’s your attitude?” Karen coldly scolded.
The two parents chimed in, “Yeah, what’s your attitude?”
“I’m sorry!” Ivan said again. A trace of blood streaked from the corner of his lips as he accidentally bit his mouth.
“Alright, alright, that’s enough.” The parents said, looking at Karen. “Pay for the medical expenses!”
“Okay, okay.” Karen immediately put on a smile and agreed.
After such an incident, Ivan didn’t want to continue going to school, but he also didn’t want to leave with Karen. So, he could only stay in the kindergarten.
All the children lay down to take a nap, but Ivan couldn’t fall asleep. He secretly took out his phone.
In the corner of the screen, there was an app with a black flame icon.
Ivan opened it and entered a long string of passwords to log in.
Soon, fluorescent subtitles appeared in the center of the interface.

Ivan entered the task release area and clicked on a hacker to place an order.

Ivan soon received a notification that “L” had accepted his order, and he breathed a sigh of relief. He thought about the little boy who looked exactly like him.
So he opened his browser and searched.

He clicked on the top–ranked post, filled with pictures of people who shared their half–siblings. Nervously, Ivan read through the post, and the light in his eyes gradually dimmed.
There were some who resembled each other, but none were exactly identical.
He looked at the boy just as when he looked in the mirror. The memory was still fresh. Ivan could no longer deceive himself.
So, he had siblings!
His mother had more than one child, but she took away the others and left only him.
According to Karen, he was found by his father in the hospital corridor.
Karen’s words couldn’t be trusted, so he subtly asked Gary and found out that it was indeed Maximilian who found him.
Tears welled up in Ivan’s eyes, and perhaps there had never been a moment as sad and lost as this. The afternoon passed by in a mess.
In the evening, when Ivan got home, he locked himself in his room.
He picked up a book to read but couldn’t focus.
Just then, there came a knock on the door.
Maximilian said, “Ivan, come out.”
Ivan didn’t move. He remained frozen in front of his desk.
Maximilian frowned and was about to fetch the key.
Beside him, Evelyn spoke. “Mr. Wolfe, let me handle this.”
She gently knocked on the door and spoke in a soothing voice. “Ivan.”
Ivan listened attentively but remained cautious.
“Ivan, do you remember me?” Evelyn said, “I was here yesterday.
Ivan looked down at the healed wounds on his hand, moved slightly, but still didn’t open the door.
Maximilian had fetched the key.
Evelyn held his hand and pleaded with him like coaxing a child, “Just wait a moment. One more.

Ivan walked out expressionless, coldly staring at Evelyn.
